We are halfway through 2025! This year has been kinder to me than all the other years combined. How has 2025 been for you?
I have been thinking about how people living by themselves manage difficult medical diagnoses. What if you need someone to accompany you to the hospital, but do not have a partner or that one reliable friend? So far, whenever I have fallen sick, I have managed to get by on my own.
However, it’s a little bit more serious this time, and I would not like to do it alone. I know that my sister will take a flight just to accompany me to a doctor’s appointment, but what if I didn’t want to trouble her? How do all of you single people manage? Let me know in the comments.
A few noteworthy things from around the internet and the world:
Stand-up comedians and cartoonists in trouble

Would you go for an ‘off-grid’ vacation at any of these locations?
Made me laugh so hard!!
The linguist in me is so excited!

Read about Morgana Clemantine’s journey balancing neurodiversity and professional life. Her account of how she balanced her career along with a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD is an eye-opener.
They shared the first look of the new Harry Potter! He looks adorable. However, in my mind’s eye, it is always Daniel Radcliffe as the 11-year-old Harry.
Now, on the importance of siblings in our lives: Built-in best friend, occasionally infuriating and a forever therapist.
Have a happy rest of the week, everyone!
